A few things to remind you of.
First, this Monday, January 23 is our next support group meeting. We will also be welcoming Gabi Mirelez from Sweetlime Alterations for a pinning party for any OutSupport friend who wants/needs an alteration done. Gabi will pin your item(s) at this meeting (Jan. 23) and return them at our February meeting (Feb 27). OutSupport is happy to be able to offer you a 20% discount on your total purchase! Each participant should bring up to 3 items for alterations. Again, the support group will be going on simultaneously as the pinning party.
Last weekend for “A Kid Like Jake” at Weathervane Playhouse in Akron.
Our website is coming together, thanks to our new associate, Candyce! Check out the new calendar, and if you and your group have an event that you would like us to post, please send it to us! We’ll be adding items and resources and hope to have a most excellent website for the LGBTQ community in this area!
Attached is the new flyer for our March Educational Program, focusing on Inter Partner violence and Older LGBTQ Adults. Note that there will be no support group that evening. Please forward this to anyone interested in learning about these issues, especially if you know social service providers.
While we aim to not be political, I will be in Washington DC on Saturday, and will be carrying a rainbow flag and a transgender flag, to represent my hope for Equal rights for all of us.
