Hi friends,
I do hope that this finds you all getting through this time well. While we can’t meet for the time being (sorry to have to cancel the April meeting, and possibly the May meeting, as well), know that we are thinking about all of you and hoping that you are all well and in a safe space.

While I am not so technically inclined to be offer online meetings and such, I’m happy to say that others are!! LOL!! Here are a few online options for you that you may enjoy while you are at home:

Kent State Tuscarawas is presenting LGBTQ+ Ally Movie Nights Online through the Kent State Tuscarawas Academic Learning Commons on Thursdays at 7:00pm April 9-23 and May 7-21. Free for all!

While OutSupport will not have online meetings, our friends at TransCEND Canton will be holding monthly ZOOM support meetings. Please let me know if you would like to attend, and I will connect you to their coordinator. They have graciously invited OutSupport attendees to join in..thank you, TransCEND Canton!!

For K-12 learners, here is a wonderful offering!! www.rainbowlibrary.org is offering free LGBTQ+ Affirming E-Books for K-12 Learners. this site gives you instructions to download these books for children!

If you are in the mood for a show that is very supportive of LGBTQ+ folks, (and I have to say I’m rather late in the game on this one, having started watching only a few months ago!) Schitt’s Creek is a fun show to watch online. A group of Mama Bears wrote a thank you letter to the show’s creators, thanking them for creating a show that is wonderfully affirming. They just finished their last season, and I’m already hoping the come out with a movie in the next few years! Enjoy!

PRIDE in the CLE has changed the date for 2020. Originally scheduled for June 6, it will now take place on SEPTEMBER 12. Mark your calendars!
Stonewall COLUMBUS PRIDE will be rescheduled for OCTOBER 3, 2020!

Please check with any of the PRIDE festivals or parades that you are planning on attending, as there will likely be more changes in the PRIDE Calendar for Ohio. We will try to update more as time goes by, and we have more info.

Finally, I’d like to ask a favor of you during this time. Many of us may feel very anxious and lonely at this time. I’d like to encourage all of you to reach out to someone that you have met at a meeting or other LGBTQ+ event, just to check in and make sure they are alright. This is a stressful time for everyone alive today, and we need to be there for each other, as best we can.

I look forward to the next time we can be together at a meeting, at an event, or other related activity. In the meantime, we send you virtual hugs every day!!!

Virtually,
Sandy
